WhoA!  I stumbled upon the website and it is AWESOME (hat-tip to Fresh Creation)!!  They use data and statistics to walk you through some of the major issues ongoing in the world today, and do it in an insightful and easy to understand way.  Here’s an example detailing the current development gap between countries.

Other cool topics you can check out are:

  1. Though the presentations are good, it’s basically a website to promote Hans Rosling’s application “Trendalyzer” (you see it in all the videos). I saw a demo of it a few years back. Beautiful graphics, but definitely meant to sell a product.

  2. I don’t think that’s right Brian.

The software Trend-anlyzer was acquired by Google in 2006, and is available for anyone to use free. You just need a google account, and then find the “Motion Chart” gadget inside the spreadsheet application.

Also, the website promotes the website and organization as non-profit. I think this is just a guy who wants to help.
